Tutorial
Your first volume discount
10% off 3 or more, 15% off 5 or more, shown on the product page. Here's how to set it up with Hand-E AI Discounts in about ten minutes.
1. Describe the discount in one sentence
- Open the app and choose New discount in the menu, then Describe with AI. The input field is also on the app's home page.
- Write your discount in one sentence, for example 10% off 3 or more and 15% off 5 or more on the Coffee collection.
- The assistant picks the discount type and finds the products in your store. You see the complete suggestion: tiers, products, counting option.
- If everything is right, click Create discount. If something is off, reply in the same field, for example: only the 250 g variant.

2. Check it and switch it on
The discount is created inactive. Nothing changes in your store until you switch it on, so you can check it in peace.
- Check every value under Switch it on right on the success card: discount type, amounts, thresholds, products or collections and run time. These are the values Shopify has saved.
- To run a test cart first, click Open in admin. At the bottom of the discount form, the preview calculates every line the way checkout does and tells you why a line gets no discount.
- Under Combinations there, decide whether the discount may apply together with other discounts. A new discount doesn't combine by default.
- Click Switch on now. From now on the discount applies at checkout, with no end date. If you've already left the card: under My discounts the discount shows as “Not active yet” with the same button, simple discounts and free shipping included.

3. Show the tiers on the product page
- In the app, choose Widgets and the Volume tiers card under New widget. Pick your discount and click Create widget. Right after creating a discount, Add a widget for it does the same.
- Pick a template and adjust colors, texts and emojis. The preview shows the widget with sample numbers.
- Set the state to Live and save.
- Click Open in theme editor. The Show discount block is already on the product page. Drag it where you want it and save in the theme editor.

4. Check it in your store
Add three items to the cart in your store. The discount shows in the cart or at checkout at the latest, depending on your theme. If it doesn't, the list of common causes in the FAQ helps.
